Cornhole for a Cause - Registraion Deadline Extended

Cornhole for a Cause is fast approaching! Teams can still register to take part in this funfilled event! The deadline for team registration has been exteneded until October 15.  Registration forms can be downloaded on our website, and there is a link to use Paypal as a payment method.  Completed forms and money can be mailed in, or dropped off at Monkee's to JWA member Lauren Dishman.

1st Annual Cornhole for a Cause

The Junior Women's Association of Greenville is proud to announce our first fundraiser of our 2012-2013 year.  We have partnered with Uptown Greenville and Coastal Beverage to host the 1st Annual Cornhole for a Cause on Saturday, October 20, 2012.  The event will be held at Five Points Plaza in Greenville and registration will begin at noon. The tournament will kick off at 1:00pm. This Cornhole Tournament will benefit 5 of our Community Partners: The Boys and Girls Clubs of Pitt County; Literacy Volunteers of Pitt County; The RHA Howell Center-Tar River Center; The Food Bank of Central and Eastern, NC; and Habitat for Humanity of Pitt County. 

Team registration cost is $60.  2 person teams will participate in a double elimination tournament.  Registration fees cover the cost of a Cornhole for a Cause t-shirt for each team member.  To sign up a team, download the Registraion Form and mail it, along with payment to PO Box 2211, Greenville, NC 27836 by October 8.  The tournament should sell out fast, so get your registration in soon!

Throughout the event, there will be live music provided by Jupiter Jones and Tailgate.  Coastal Beverage will also be on hand with a beer truck, and local restraunts will be selling food and drink. 

Cornhole for a Cause is the perfct tailgate before the ECU Pirates take UAB on the road at 7:00pm!  Please come out and support this event, and help us raise funds for 5 very deserving organizations.  We promise that it will be a great time!

Trucks! Tractors! Buses! Oh my!

The Junior Women's Association of Greenville proudly presents the 1st annual Touch-A-Truck event for kids of all ages on Saturday, May 14.

Big rigs, emergency vehicles, construction equipment, and all the other big machines that make kids say "whoa!" will be on display from 10am to 3pm in the parking lot area between the Greenville Mall and East Carolina Bank. Families can also enjoy face painting, bounce houses, food and surprise special guests!

Touch-A-Truck proceeds will benefit Habit for Humanity of Pitt County and the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina. Tickets are $5/person. Tickets may be purchased at the door or ahead of time at Monkee's, Pink, East Carolina Bank, Play Date and Icon Boutique.

JWA gearing up to present 2nd Annual Mac Attack Golf Tournament

The Junior Women's Association of Greenville is proud to serve as the presenting sponsor of the 2nd Annual Mac Attack Golf Tournament taking place June 3, 2011 at Brook Valley Country Club.

The tournament will benefit the Ronald McDonald House of Eastern North Carolina whose mission is to provide a temporary home away from home for families of seriously ill or injured children receiving treatment from area medical facilities.

Whether you're interested in participating in the tournament, becoming a sponsor, or simply volunteering your time, the support you give will go a long way in helping those who need it most. Click here for more information on how to get involved.

JWA raises $3,000 for Boys & Girls Clubs

The Junior Women's Association of Greenville raised $3,000 for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Pitt County during its first fundraising event last fall. The proceeds from the sell of amaryllis bulbs and paperwhite bulbs were presented to Jay Faron, executive director of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Pitt County, during the JWA membership meeting in February.

Fundraiser committee prepares flower bulbs for first JWA fundraiser

Paperwhite bulbs and amaryllis bulbs from The Terra Ceia Farms in Pantego, N.C. were sold this fall by JWA members in support of the first JWA fundraiser. All proceeds benefited the Boys & Girls Clubs of Pitt County. Children at the Boys & Girls Club decorated gift tags that were attached to each item sold.
